1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. They let the site remember things like your log-in state, your preferences, or how you arrived at a page. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only used if you consent.
2. How we use cookies
Seckira uses cookies for three purposes only:
- Essential — to keep you signed in, route you to the right server, and prevent fraud.
- Analytics — to understand which pages are useful, where users get stuck, and how the product is performing. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymised.
- Marketing — only if you explicitly opt-in via our cookie banner. Used to measure the effectiveness of our Google and Meta ads.
We do not use cookies to build personality profiles, sell to brokers, or share data with anyone outside the sub-processors listed below.
3. The cookies we set
Essential cookies (always on)
- seckira_session — keeps you logged into the dashboard. Expires when you close the browser.
- seckira_csrf — protects forms from cross-site request forgery. Session cookie.
- cf_clearance — set by Cloudflare to verify the visitor is human. Expires after 30 days.
- cookie_consent — remembers your cookie preferences. Expires after 12 months.
Analytics cookies (opt-in)
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4. Aggregated traffic measurement. Expires after 13 months.
- ph_* — PostHog product analytics. Tracks anonymised feature usage. Expires after 12 months.
Marketing cookies (opt-in)
- _fbp, _fbc — Meta Pixel, used to measure ad attribution. Expires after 3 months.
- _gcl_au — Google Ads conversion tracking. Expires after 3 months.
4. How to control cookies
On your first visit you’ll see a cookie banner. You can accept all, reject non-essential, or pick categories one by one. You can change your preferences any time by clicking Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
You can also block cookies at the browser level — see allaboutcookies.org for instructions in your browser. Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the dashboard.
5. Do Not Track
Seckira respects the Sec-GPC (Global Privacy Control) header. If your browser sends it, we treat that as a refusal of all non-essential cookies, even if you have not interacted with the banner.
6. Updates to this policy
If we add a new cookie or change a vendor, this page will be updated and the effective date refreshed. Material changes will trigger a fresh consent prompt on your next visit.
